Okay, i just want to know how sensitive do you have your J&S set to. I'm asking because i had mine set at around 11 o'clock position and i was seeing big time knock whenever i floored it with my sc on, but now that my sc is off my car and my car is basically stock, the led's on the display is still coming on. When i floor my car, on or two leds show up, but not even close to how often it came on before when i had th sc on, what gives? any ideas?

It might be engine noise that is being picked up. The only way to know is to do a high gear pull and listen for signs of knock. Then adjust the J&S accordingly. It sounds harder than it sounds because I had a tough time listening for knock with all that VTEC racket. wink

The way to adjust it is to CUT the yellow wire (which is the TPS signal wire) and then do a run, adjusting it for engine noise. Then hook it back up.

The signal wire arms the J&S when you have the throttle pressed more than so much, whatever that is. With this wire disconnected, then it is always armed,

Cruising at 5,000 RPM will produce noise, and you should adjust it until it just stops.

I have mine at about 10 o'clock too. 1 degree drop single cylinder (first two switches down)

Instead of cutting it though you can unscrew the set screws on the plug in (the one one that goes into the back of the J&S) and just pull the wire from the clip. Then do your test, I did mine on the interstate at about 6-7k since the full exhaust and everything does get pretty lound and I didn't want to run into the same problem you are having. I think everybody is around 10-11 o'clock. Did anybody else get the instructions with the J&S cause mine had painly explained how to do this? Good luck

I don't get any lights when i'm crusing, but i do get is under hard acceleration. Stock is not suppose to have tip in detonation, right? i don't hear it, but i do see the retard monitor lighthing up. I turn my sensitivity to it's lowest setting and i don't hear any ping, is the J&S just too sensitive or am i getting ping even when my car is stock?
